Today P3 and 4 had a fantastic time with School at the Sea. We started off by spreading some Vaseline onto a paper plate and hanging it outside. We weren't too sure why but later on we were able to see how much dirt was being carried by the wind as it had stuck to our plates.
We raced some feathers up the hall making our own wind, we built our own cliffs and watched to see what happened when the wind was put on them, we learnt all about the Beaufort Scale and played a game that tested our directional skills. After this we made our own wind catchers and boats to try to sail. Charlie Rea was successful in making it across the pool!
Last of all we designed our own kites. After lunch we went outside and flew them as well as blowing bubbles. To finish off our fantastic day we had some free time in the park.
Such a brilliant busy day was had by all!!
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
