Today was our last session of STAY TO PLAY.
The children had a variety of activities to do based on the flowers and garden topic that we started last week.
There were various craft tables where the children could make their own butterflies using wooden clothes pegs and bun cases; design their own bouquet of flowers using bun cases to make their flowers 3D, learn about the different stages of the flower life cycle; make their own buzzy bee as well as making their own grass plant.
We also made a grass plant caterpillar, and we will be keeping an eye on it over the next few weeks in school to see if we can spot any grass! The children were all very excited to see our Carnalbanagh Caterpillar!
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
